Overview:
ebm-papst Inc. now makes communication to our EC products easier than ever before with our latest Bluetooth wireless communication products.

Using your Bluetooth PDA device loaded with our most recent software, you can now wirelessly communicate to EC products that are wired to our transceiver interface.

Our new Fan Control and Fan Clone software are the latest products available and allow users to view real time fan performance, program fans to meet specific applications and save specific programs so that they can be transferred to other fans to help streamline the commissioning of new set-ups.

Recommended PDA devices:
The link below lists compatible PDA devices that can be purchased separately and used with the Bluetooth interface, 21501-1-0174 and the Fan Control or Fan Clone Software. When selecting a PDA for use, please make sure to choose a PDA that has Bluetooth communication capability. Please note that lists products that are sold world wide and some may not be available in the US.

Bluetooth Interface:
ebm-papst Bluetooth Interface, part number: 21501-1-0174 is required hardware to complete the communication link from the PDA to the motors. Download the specification sheet for review:

Note that this unit is powered by the 20 VDC output from an energized EC motor. Once installed, you will then be able to communicate with one or more fans that are uniquely addressed on the BUS. This interface can be permanently installed in a system but it is more suited for temporary troubleshooting or new fan commissioning. The interface has an IP20 rating so it must be protected from the elements if it is installed permanently.

Fan Control and Fan Clone Software and Manuals :
Download the appropriate ZIP files to your hard drive and extract the contents. The manuals will guide you through the installation of the software onto your PDA. A host computer is needed to synchronize the software and the PDA for the initial set up. After the PDA software is installed, follow the instructions in the manuals for the software operation procedures.

ebmBUS and ModBus Compatibility:
All of the current software and hardware will work with ebmBUS programmed motors or the latest 16 bit MODBUS programmed motors. At the login screen of each program, select Settings or Extras in the lower left corner and from the menu select the Bus system that matches the fans being communicated with.
